Cookies and your privacy

Lusion is built by Lusion World Limited, a company registered in Malta. We care about keeping this site fast, calm and respectful of your privacy, so we use as little tracking as possible. This page explains the technologies we use, why we use them, and the choices you have. This is a marketing and waitlist website for a social platform that is still in development. It is not the platform itself.

The short version

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across the web. We do not sell your data. Our analytics tool does not use cookies at all and cannot identify you. The only time anything from another company is loaded onto your device is when you choose to open a community feature, such as our Discord community panel, and we ask before that happens.

Analytics that do not use cookies

We use Plausible Analytics to understand how many people visit lusion.world and which pages are popular. Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device, and does not collect personal data that can identify you. It measures overall trends only, in aggregate. All data is processed and stored in the European Union. Because Plausible does not store or read information on your device, no consent is required for it under EU and Maltese law.

Our waitlist signup form

When you join our waitlist, we use a form provided by Mailchimp (a service of Intuit) to collect your email address. This form does not place advertising or tracking cookies on your device when the page loads. To check your email is valid and show you a confirmation message, the form loads a small script from Mailchimp's servers, which means your device connects to Mailchimp when the form is present. When you submit your email, you are choosing to join our waitlist. We use your email only to send you updates about the launch and development of the platform. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Community features from other platforms

We may show a Discord panel so you can see our community and join it, and in future we may show content from Instagram. These features are loaded from Discord and Instagram, and when they load they can place cookies on your device and share your IP address with those companies. Because these are not essential to browsing this website, we do not load them automatically. Instead, you will see a placeholder with a short note. The Discord or Instagram content only loads if you click to open it. Clicking is your choice to allow that content. If you never click, nothing from Discord or Instagram is loaded onto your device.

Strictly necessary technology

Our site is a simple static website. Any storage that is strictly necessary to deliver the page to you securely is exempt from consent under EU and Maltese law. We do not use functional, analytics or advertising cookies of our own.

Your choices and your rights

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Because we do not set non-essential cookies until you choose to open a community feature, there is usually nothing to refuse when you arrive. Under the GDPR and Maltese data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@lusion.world. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Maltese supervisory authority, the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), at idpc.org.mt.

The legal background

This policy reflects the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the Maltese Data Protection Act (Chapter 586 of the Laws of Malta), and the ePrivacy rules as implemented in Malta through Subsidiary Legislation 586.01.
